When Joss is asked to write a story about how her life might have turned out if a pivotal moment in it never happened she thinks of the day she met both Braden and Ellie Carmichael. If she never met them, just where might she have ended up? Joss believes no matter where life might take her it would inevitably lead her to Braden. But what if she is thirty instead of twenty-two when they meet? How would she feel about risking her heart then? And even if she is older and wiser and ready to fall madly in love, what if too much has happened to Braden to make him the man that would risk his heart to save hers?

Will time be their enemy… or is it possible that two souls are meant for one another in any reality?

This book was offered free when you preordered The One Real Thing.

One of my favourite authors ever is Samantha Young and she is the writer of one of my all time favourite series, On Dublin Street. I adored that series from the first book which told the story of Joss and Braden and I loved every single one of the books in the series. Braden and Joss were my favourite couple so when I discovered that Samantha was offering a Joss/Braden novella with pre-orders of her newest book I knew I needed to get my hands on it!

This novella has been sat in my inbox since last year and I finally got around to reading it and I fell in love with Joss and Braden all over again. At the start of the book, we get a glimpse into their married life and their children which I loved! Braden is still typical Braden and their kids are amazing. Then we get to the novella! Joss asks Braden to read it and that is where it starts for us too.

This novella is amazing, it gives you an alternative universe to Braden and Joss' life together as if ODS had never happened and they met many years and life experiences later. There is one thing Samantha has always done well in her books and that is UST. Star Over Castle Hill has UST in spades! It made me remember why I loved Braden so much and we get to meet Ellie all over again and she is just as lovable in this incarnation as she is in the original.

I got to fall in love all over again with Braden and I was reminded why he will always be one of my all time favourite book boyfriends! It's also made me want to re-read ODS and then there is the ending, when we switch to the reality we know for Joss and Braden and I melted all over again. That man is perfection. Utter perfection. I loved the closing line of this novella because, at the end of the day, it sums up relationships perfectly for me:
"I will die a happy woman if you find someone to be just as weird with"
