Best friends since they could walk. In love since the age of fourteen.
Complete strangers since this morning.
He'll do anything to remember. She'll do anything to forget.
I read this series of three novella's one after the other, all I knew going in was that it was about a boy called Silas and a girl called Charlie and that the first and second books ended in cliffhangers (hence why I waited for all three after seeing the hell people were going through waiting for the next one).
I love it when I don't know much about a book and go in completely blind and I think that's the best thing to do with this book which is why I'm not going to say much about the plot (which is going to make this review difficult to write but I want to give away as little as I can).
When we first meet Charlie and Silas they are both at school when their lives get turned upside down by a random event that affects the both of them a number of times but no one around them. They have to figure this out together and I loved that. They had each other to go through this with, I think had either of them been alone in this it would have made things a lot worse for them and considering all they had been through together before, it seemed right that they faced this fight together.
Charlie and Silas were well-developed characters and can I just say, Silas is awesome. He is so cute and loving and you can see how much - once he knows what's going on - he loves Charlie. These two are just perfect for each other and I loved reading their journey in this book.
And then there's Landon, Silas' brother who is just awesome and in the end comes through for them both in a way that shows you how much his brother means to him.
I loved the ending to this book, the reasons this was happening to the both of them and seeing them figure it out and finding out where they were headed. The final 20% of the last book is just too cute for words and I think I fell in love with Silas a little (not that I need another book boyfriend - but hey!)
I am glad I read these books one after another because I don't think I could have coped with these cliffhangers, especially the one in the second book! If I had had to have waited for the third book after reading that ending I don't know how I would have coped!
I have never read anything by Tarryn but after reading this I think I will because I think I am missing out on some great books!
