Summary:

Dane Kauffmann had always lived his life for others. It was something he had never even thought twice about. That was until one night, he met a green-eyed beauty that flipped his world upside down. She made him want to be selfish for the first time in his life. She had him wanting to put his own happiness before others.

This is the story of one man who must make the ultimate decision… Sacrifice everything and be selfish, or sacrifice himself and continue to be Benevolent.

Leddy is a talented writer and I liked her writing style. I really, really wanted to fall in love with this book, but I just couldn't get into it. I really, really tried, but it just didn't work for me. At first I thought it was the male POV but it wasn't that. I've read male POV books before and loved them.

It was the characters, I found it really, really hard to connect to them and care about their story. I just couldn't find my heart going around Dane, Gabi and Eden and their story and path through this book.

Like I said, the style of writing was lovely and Leddy is talented so with this book I think it just wasn't my style. I know looking at the reviews on Goodreads I'm in the minority here but sometimes books don't work for you and I think Benevolent is one of those books for me.
