You know that Abby Abernathy unexpectedly became Mrs. Maddox. But what do you really know?

Why did Abby pop the question?

What secrets were shared before the ceremony?
Where did they spend their wedding night?
Who else knew about it . . . and didn’t tell?

Everything about Abby and Travis’s elopement was top-secret . . . until now. Fans of Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disaster will get all of their questions answered in this whirlwind tale of the wedding day (and night!)—and as with all good stories, this one will definitely have been worth the wait.

Beautiful wedding is Jamie McGuire's telling the story of Abby and Travis' wedding. Until I picked up this novella I didn't realise how much I'd missed these two. I just love reading about them and their lives together.

BW picks up just after the fire at Keaton Hall and we soon find out just why Abby wanted to get married. To protect Travis. I don't completely accept that, but I understand why she did it. It's why Travis and Abby do anything. To protect and help each other.

As we journey through this story we get more and more glimpses of Travis and Abby's thought processes as it is told from both their POV's and Travis has some cracking lines that remind me why I love him so much:

"I'm not sure the world could handle a female Maddox. All the fight and anger, plus estrogen? Everyone would die"

I could just see his face when I read that and it made me giggle.

There's a moment in this book where Abby is wavering just before she's due in the chapel, Travis talks to her through the door and then slips a letter from his mother titled "To the future Mrs Maddox"

It was a letter his mother wrote for Travis to give to his wife and was beautiful to read. I was crying the moment I realised what it was and it contains in it a line that sums up this series for me and its sister series about Travis' brothers:

"When a Maddox boy falls in love, he falls forever"
You also get to see Abby getting her Mrs Maddox tattoo with Travis sat next to her and I loved reading that. Travis is so uncomfortable and you can see just how much he loves Abby in this scene plus his reaction to the artist? Amazing.

And that at the end of the day this novella carries on just what this series is about: love and saving your soulmate from themselves and their pasts just as Abby did for Travis and Travis did for Abby...
